Wes lost his long battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 31 March, 2021.
Wes will be remembered as an exceptionally skilled and enthusiastic modeller, unfailingly helpful to others, and a genuine gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
In the picture Wes is being presented with the John Bird Trophy for 2018 by Julie Bird.
He won that year with his extremely clever design of a glider which utilised virtually every square mm of an A4 foam sheet. As expected with Wes designs, it performed outstandingly.
